Gallery 12 – a transdisciplinary new media studio – works in the creative industries, creating physical and digital content at the intersection of art, media, science and technology.
Since 1999, collective has been producing unique museum, gallery and commercial experiences, as well as digital content and software solutions. Among Gallery 12’s latest endeavors is the development and production of exhibitions for the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
To create such content, Gallery 12 works in various fields that include research, narrative, design, architecture, digital content production, software, programming, robotics, engineering, applied arts and manufacturing.
Gallery 12 brings together talents from a wide range of fields under one roof, who share a passion for creating unique concepts and content and developing new technologies.
Challenge
Galerija 12 was faced with rapid organizational growth at one point, which led to a significant expansion of the team and the need to create a more robust system. In order for the projects we work on to develop successfully on a creative and technical level, it was necessary to support them with an appropriate working and organizational system.
The growth occurred during the project, so it was important to quickly set the outlines of a system that could be adapted and improved in the future. A large part of this task involved activating a central platform for information distribution, as well as a more efficient system for dividing and tracking tasks.

Why monday.com
Galeria 12’s approach to searching for a tool that would fulfill the above-mentioned purpose consisted of the need for a non-linear, dynamic project management platform that, in addition to functionality, also meets the criteria regarding the quality of user interface design.
The research we conducted in search of such a tool in previous periods did not bear fruit, as we could never reconcile the minimum required functionalities with the minimum quality of user interface design.
Fortunately, monday.com appeared on the market at the right moment, when a project management platform became absolutely necessary for us due to the rapid growth of the organization. monday.com represented the most optimal combination of functionality, good design, price of services, as well as a brand that is ready for rapid development and introduction of new functionalities. As a creative studio that, among other things, deals with the design of interactive experiences, a good user interface and user experience that monday.com offers was a key selection criterion.
The personal communication we had with the monday.com team allowed us to personalize the package to our needs, which was also very important to us. We also like that we established a personal relationship, and recognized monday.com as an organization with similar values.
In this process, we also appreciated the speed with which monday.com introduces new functionalities and listens to user feedback, because everything we needed, which did not exist, appeared very quickly.

Communication is made easier in that there is a quick and easy way to access and search for a huge amount of material and information, so it is no longer necessary to constantly ask someone in person for service and practical information and where to store files. Also, a system in which the person who reviewed the task is automatically notified upon completion of a task is an example of a small acceleration of communication, which in combination with numerous others, facilitates, strengthens and accelerates our system.
Automating numerous processes that would have unnecessarily taken up a lot of our time
When it comes to automation, monday.com has enabled us to have a system in which information can be entered and changed in just one place, and viewed in different forms, which is crucial for the efficient and elegant organizational system we strive for. The ability to view the information we enter through tasks later in a single click in numerous ways, i.e. views such as gantt, workload, kanban, and the like, has made our work easier and faster. Within these same views, quick filtering also allows us to see just one phase of the project, or the tasks of one person, or a related group of tasks, in just a few clicks. All of this saves us time by reducing the volume of organizational and manual tasks and increasing the space for strategic and creative work and thinking.
Thanks to the system of workspaces, folders and boards, we can easily organize this information by hierarchies
So that everyone can access the hierarchy or group of information they need. Excellent search and filter system are also key to navigating through a large number of materials. Integrations and automations have proven to be very useful, as they have allowed us to automatically generate certain information overview formats, which we previously had to create “by hand”. For example, we have created such a uniform system of boards, based on our own template, that allows us to generate a project timeline automatically without any additional work and customization.

It has also simplified our daily communication and collaboration, thanks to a clear overview of responsibilities and progress on daily tasks. This applies to both horizontal communication between team members and vertical communication, where everyone can easily access the hierarchy of information they need. The non-linear nature of the platform, as well as numerous integrations, have provided us with a system in which project progress can be easily monitored at the most general level without going into details, but also with easy access to details for those who need it.
